Howard Gardner, a Harvard psychologist, proposed The theory of multiple intelligences which challenges the idea of a single IQ, where human beings have one central “computer” where intelligence is housed. He proposed that there are multiple types of human intelligence, each representing different ways of processing information:

  1. Visual-spatial
  2. Linguistic-verbal
  3. Logical-mathematical
  4. Body-kinesthetic
  5. Musical
  6. Interpersonal
  7. Intrapersonal
  8. Naturalistic
